Authentic Indigenous Seafood

Authentic Indigenous Seafood is a co‑operative of Indigenous fisheries across Canada. It brings wild salmon, shellfish and other traditional foods to market. The value stays in the communities that harvest them.

The work covers most of the business. Sales and business development. Forecasting and production planning. Packaging in English, French, Spanish and Japanese. Funding applications, and a trade mission to Japan with meetings at six companies.

The website and online store were designed and built to match, with product copy, photography and film. In 2025 the co‑operative received a BC Indigenous Business Award.

Nuu‑chah‑nulth Seafood film

A short film for Nuu‑chah‑nulth Seafood. It tells how the company grew, the three principles that guide it and where it is headed next.

Filming took place at Ditidaht and Huu‑ay‑aht, with interviews and footage of the crews at work.

The film runs five to seven minutes. It is in production now.

Conference coordination for the First Nations Fisheries Council of BC.

The CFE Gathering brings together First Nations commercial fishing enterprises from across the province. The job is to make the days run smoothly, so people can focus on each other.

That means the agenda and program, registration and payments, venues and AV, and everything on the day itself.

A short film shares the story of the fishery and the people behind it. Brand design work gives the products a look that matches.

Product brochures and leaflets for Nikon, in several languages. Dozens of them over the years.

The 2022 Z series brochure is one of them. Fifty six pages on the Z mount cameras, the NIKKOR Z lenses, accessories and full specifications.

Shoppers find products, the fisheries behind them and where to buy. Every product traces back to the harvesters through a QR code. Chefs and trade buyers get their own pages.

Product copy, photography and translations were written for the site too.

The CFE Aqua Hub connects the commercial fishing enterprises and aquaculture ventures in the Pacific Integrated Commercial Fisheries Initiative. It is run by the Business Development Team.

Members log in to find resources on fisheries, aquaculture, HR and training. They can browse profiles by region, and trade licences, quota and equipment through the license and equipment hub.

The site also carries news about the yearly CFE Gathering.
